\nJohn Gruber, der neben der omin\u00f6sen Pressemeldung auch noch ein Briefing von Apple zum Ausbleiben von Siri AI in der EU bekommen hat1:

As things stand there\u2019s no middle ground. Apple\u2019s offers for compromise have been rejected. Unless one side changes its mind and concedes its current position, Siri AI will never come to the EU, and what Apple is saying here is that they\u2019re unwilling to create the open-access-to-user-data system that the EC is demanding.
Michael Tsai wiederum sch\u00e4tzt insbesondere Apples der EU vorgeschlagenen Plan zur Entwicklung in den n\u00e4chsten 18 Monaten wie folgt ein:

Wired freute sich kurz darauf1 \u00fcber die minimalistische Galerieanmutung der Umsetzung und lobte sie gegen\u00fcber anderen Bedienparadigmen („rather than resorting to a pop-up window, a new browser window, or any other technique which forces your users to hit the back button.“).
