I counted the cuts in 8,770 films from the last century to find out how many shots a movie has now, and how fast we are cutting.

F\u00fcr Jason Bourne und uns wenig \u00fcberraschend, ist diese Anzahl um rund 180% im Vergleich zu Filmen der 1950er angestiegen. Damals waren es typischerweise 550–580 Einstellungen pro Film, in den 2020ern sind es rund 1.560. Eine Einstellung dauert heute durchschnittlich etwa 4,1 statt wie damals 10,3 Sekunden.
