# Kagi status update: First three years

[Kagi](https://kagi.com/), meine (kostenpflichtige) Suchmaschine der Wahl, wird drei Jahre alt. Gründer [Vlad](https://vladimir.prelovac.com/) gibt hier einen Rundumschlag über die verschiedenen Produkte und Entwicklungen.

Unter anderem kündigt er „Kagi Mail“ an, um so auch selbst die Holy Trinitiy aus Suchmaschine, [Browser](https://kagi.com/orion/) und E-Mail-Service anzubieten, was bisher nur fünf andere Unternehmen tun.[1](https://eay.cc/2025/kagi-status-update-first-three-years/#footnote_0_40468 "Alphabet mit Google, Chrome und Gmail; Microsoft mit Bing, Edge und Outlook; sowie das russische Yandex, das chinesische Baidu und das südkoreanische Naver.") Kagi-typisch sympathisch wird auch direkt verraten, dass das wohl noch etwas dauern wird („We are about 15% done“).

[Aktuell](https://kagi.com/stats) hat Kagi 49.607 zahlende Nutzer. Ich bin einer davon und – gerade nachgesehen – seit Oktober 2023 dabei. Ich schätze die Individualisierbarkeit von Kagi, die bspw. Ergebnisse komplett ausblenden oder priorisieren lässt und bin darüber hinaus natürlich gerne Kunde und nicht Produkt.

**Pro-Tipp:** Da Kagi unter iOS nicht [ohne weiteres](https://help.kagi.com/kagi/getting-started/setting-default/safari-iphone-ipad.html) als Suchmaschine auswählbar ist, biege ich mir seit jeher [mit dem eh vorhandenen xSearch](https://eay.cc/2021/xsearch-extension-fuer-eigene-suchmaschinen-in-ios-15/) meine Suchanfragen zu Kagi um.
