Originally engineered as part of a multiplayer online game, one aspect of the project took on a life of its own, and Flickr was born. During an era when digital cameras were fairly common, phone cameras were just a grainy novelty, and the blogosphere ruled the internet, Flickr was an instant hit.</p></blockquote>\n<p>2005 folgte schon der Kauf durch Yahoo, gefolgt von <a href=\"https://eay.cc/2012/instagram-startet-web-profiles-und-versetzt-flickr-den-todesstos/\">Jahren der schwindenden Bedeutung</a> und 2018 dem <a href=\"https://eay.cc/2018/smugmug-kauft-flickr/\">Kauf durch SmugMug</a>.</p>\n<p>Recycling von meinem Kommentar <a href=\"https://mkln.org/p/flickr-ist-20-jahre-alt\">bei Michael, wo ich auch von diesem Jubil\u00e4um erfuhr</a>: Flickr war toll und wegweisend damals (ich war sogar Gr\u00fcnder der zwischenzeitlich recht gro\u00dfen <a href=\"https://www.flickr.com/groups/germany/\">Germany-Gruppe</a> und \u2013 gerade in meinen E-Mails nachgeguckt \u2013 von 2005 bis 2009 hatte ich sogar einen zahlungspflichtigen Pro-Account), mittlerweile verbinde ich damit nur noch die nervigen \u201eYour account is in violation of our free account limits&#8220;-Mails (kann mich aus Nostalgie&shy;gr\u00fcnden, aber auch nicht zum l\u00f6schen des Accounts durchringen).</p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https://eay.cc/uploads/2024/flickr-limit.png\" alt=\"Screenshot der flickr Free-Account-Limit E-Mail\" title=\"\" loading=\"lazy\" /></p>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https://eay.cc/wordpress/count.php?url=https%3A%2F%2Feay.cc%2F2024%2F20-jahre-flickr%2F\" style=\"border:0;\" width=\"1\" height=\"1\" alt=\"\" />",
