Der [Vollständigkeit](https://eay.cc/tag/app-net/) halber: Bei App.net wird am 14. März der Stecker gezogen. Das Ende war bereits absehbar, nachdem die Plattform [im März 2014](https://eay.cc/2014/app-net-im-fegefeuer-der-digitalindustrie/) nur noch im „Maintenance Mode“ weiter betrieben wurde. Schlagen wir dieses Kapitel also zu und hoffen, dass [andere, offenere Systeme](https://eay.cc/2017/indie-microblogging-service-und-ebook-von-manton-reece/) an dessen Stelle treten.
